Overview:
The STARS (Science, Technology & Research Scholars) program is a transformative initiative dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields. Through a comprehensive curriculum, hands-on research experiences, and mentorship opportunities, STARS empowers students to explore their passions, develop critical skills, and pursue impactful careers in STEM. Participants engage in cutting-edge research projects, collaborate with esteemed faculty and industry professionals, and gain invaluable practical experience in their chosen fields. Beyond academic enrichment, STARS fosters a supportive community of scholars, providing networking opportunities, professional development workshops, and peer mentorship to ensure students thrive both academically and personally.

What to Expect:
This program is two weeks long and will help the next generation of minority scientists and doctors. You will learn high-level laboratory and computer science skills that will put you ahead of the game. Even after the program concludes, students will have the ability to have contact with mentors who can help with their futures in research and college. Students will become proficient in mainly three areas: science and career skills, coding and data science, and molecular biology.

The program is limited to people from underrepresented minorities in STEM

Must have completed 9th grade, and going into grades 10-12

Those accepted are accepted on Scholarship

Application, teacher recommendations, and personal statements are required for the application process

Parents/Guardians are responsible for transportation to Cold Spring Harbor
